Supporting Children and Youth Services Employees: A Resilience Supports Program

This session describes the design, implementation, and evaluation of a resilience-focused peer support, training, and critical incident debriefing program within a large state social services agency serving children, youth, and families. The program entails evidence-based practices, training, outreach, and integrated wellness initiatives delivered in-person and via technology. Evaluation results highlight the importance of structured support systems, outreach, training, and trauma-informed evidence-based practices to promote employee well-being, retention, and resilience. Attendees will learn best practices and recommendations for integrating peer support and critical incident interventions into a comprehensive employee wellness framework that fosters a supportive workplace environment for all children and youth services employees.
