Supporting Adolescents in Child Welfare
In recent years, DCYF has made important program and practice changes in how adolescents are supported across Washington State. Grounded in dignity, developmental responsiveness, youth voice, and the experiences of those who work directly with young people, this workshop will highlight emerging best practices and key program updates, including Extended Foster Care and related supports. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from one another, share real-world experiences, and build practical strategies that can be applied immediately in day-to-day work with adolescents.
