Impactful Relationships: A Trauma-Responsive Approach to Building Connection

Building meaningful relationships with youth impacted by trauma is both essential and complex. Impactful Relationships: A Trauma-Responsive Approach to Building Connections equips caregivers and professionals with a deeper understanding of how trauma shapes behavior, beliefs, and relational capacity.

Grounded in the evidence-based Together Facing the Challenge (TFTC) model of care, this interactive workshop explores how brain development, trauma responses, and lived experiences influence a youth’s ability to trust and connect. Participants will gain practical, trauma-responsive strategies to strengthen relationships, reduce frustration, and respond with empathy and intentionality—even in challenging moments.

Through reflection, discussion, and real-life application, attendees will leave with tools they can immediately implement to promote safety, connection, and hope.
