Child Abuse Investigations
This workshop is for multi-disciplinary teams. It is designed to show why child abuse investigations are different and why they must be treated differently. Detective McNeil shows why being the State’s sole witness can hurt your case. Detective McNeil will break down how each investigation should include more than just an investigator. He will show why building a team of care professionals around the victim’s case will help make a great case.
Detective McNeil will demonstrate why “Together is Better” when it comes to investigating sex crimes. He will speak in detail about why the investigator should develop a working relationship with Child Protective Services, Child Advocacy Centers, District Attorney’s Offices, and other agencies that can assist in the child abuse investigation.
