Intro to DCYF Safety Framework & lessons learned from the TORT perspective.

General overview of the current DCYF Safety Framework. Review of where the material derived from and ongoing efforts to collaborate with our community and court partners to ensure safety framework is based on a standardized set of tools and guides rooted in evidence and research.
Focus will be on why a global assessment serves families well and how the use of standardized tools decease bias and increase critical thinking around safety related to decision making. When we lean in with genuine curiosity we increase our ability to adequately assess and plan for safety related matters.
Will share some relevant research around safety frameworks across our country.
AAG will go over some lessons learned from TORT cases around assessing safety do’s and don’ts.
