Applications of Trauma-Informed Care Principles within Children’s Services

Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) is based in knowledge and understanding of the widespread impact of trauma in the lives of individuals. With the high rate of trauma exposure among the population, Principles of TIC provide a framework for interaction with to increase the effectiveness of services and reduce the risk of further traumatization by service systems. Using presentation and experiential learning approaches, participants will review 6 Principles of Trauma-Informed Care and discuss applications of TIC within their own professional roles.
