A Value Model of C.A.R.E.: A Blueprint for Building a Relational Home

In this workshop, the importance of building a relational home for children entering foster care will be emphasized and a value model of C.A.R.E. will be discussed. Child welfare professionals will review the C.A.R.E. Checklist which outlines the questions that children ask and want answered when they are removed from their homes and placed into foster care. Healing suggestions, inspired by children’s experiences and advice, will be offered to assist care providers with building a relational home and assisting children as they navigate foster care transition transactions.
