Changing Course: When Charging Decision in a Child Homicide Case Needs to be Modified

This presentation uses an actual case study to analyze crime scene evidence, witness statements and forensic medical expertise to shift the focus from the original defendant to the actual primary perpetrator in a child homicide case. It will also include ethical considerations in the initial and revised charging decisions.
