Wendy’s Wonderful Kids
Wendy’s Wonderful Kids (WWK) is a partnership between Washington Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) and Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, aimed at boosting permanency for foster youth through the child-focused recruitment model. Referrals target youth who are in open parent dependencies and/or legally free and have a primary or secondary plan of adoption, guardianship, or reunification. The program specifically works with young people who are between the ages of 9 and 17, or younger than 9 if they have special needs or are part of a sibling group. This session will go over how the Wendy’s Wonderful Kids program works and can increase a youth’s relationship and permanency outcomes
